Celebrate the spooky season with ghoulish events at the San José Public Library (SJPL) all month long. From special Halloween-themed crafts and story times to parades and book giveaways, our branches have something fun for all to enjoy. This year, our annual Halloween Parade at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library will take place on Friday, Oct. 27 starting at 4 p.m. with a special outdoor performance followed by a costume parade and Trick-or-Treat through the first four floors of the library. Our annual Halloween Booktacular Giveaway is returning from Oct. 22-31. Kids and teens can stop by any SJPL location and pick out a free book (while supplies last).
