Subject: We Need Your Input About District Boundaries! Good morning Neighbor, The City of San José needs your input on how to redistrict neighborhoods into the 10 City Council districts. Redistricting happens once a decade and is the process of redrawing political boundaries for elective offices. The current draft maps substantially change the boundaries for District 6 as well as many other districts. To view map drafts or submit a draft of how you think the City districts should be drawn, click here. FYI, some of the current draft maps move part of North Willow Glen out of District 6 into District 7. The Redistricting Commissions have virtual meetings every Thursday at 7pm where you can provide feedback on the maps. Below are the upcoming meetings you can join via Zoom: Thursday, 10/21 @ 7pm. Thursday, 10/28 @ 7pm. Thursday, 11/04 @ 7pm. Although it’s better to attend the meeting and comment publicly, you can also send an email to the Redistricting Commission. The District 6 Redistricting Commissioner is Andrew Ditlevsen. If you have any questions or suggestions about how the City should redistrict boundaries, you can email Andrew.
